We designed a bright and open kitchen, living and study space for a terrace house in Rozelle.
The new design had a big impact on the way our clients lived in their home — the new area with space for cooking, eating as well as studying has become the hub of their home.
The design and build involved extending the ground plate out from the existing structure into the rear garden and side passageway.
This meant we could open up the downstairs kitchen and flood it with light by running skylights around the perimeter of the existing structure.
We worked closely with our clients who were delighted at the striking colours and materials.
A restrained palette of blue, white and timber visually balanced the space and minimised glare.
We chose cork flooring because our clients didn’t want floors that felt hard to walk on. Cork is also durable, has the right finish and a range of colours available to suit the project.
